Shalimar made its Introduction in the Kenya market first in 1987, and in the last 30 years have not only pleased the East African residents, but has also tantalized the taste buds of the International community. Many tourist have taken back these packets to their home countries and reordered from there. It is also used by many students studying abroad who have wanted to enjoy taste of home while resident abroad.

Shalimar is thus unique in that it is not an ordinary packet of spices supplied by Indian and Pakistani companies to be used as add on of one or two spoons to vary the taste of traditional stews, but a delicately prepared blend of spices packed in a foil packet to preserve its flavor with correctly measured individual spices needed to ensure that the final product is perfect.
